Employee Spotlight: Dave Hunton

Dave Hunton came to Spirit Circuits in November 2012, having worked for a major competitor for many years prior.

Our Technical Sales Manager brought with him the knowledge, experience, technical expertise and all-important contact book to help us to grow and develop our hold and expertise in the Thermal PCB market.

Spirit Circuits joined the thermal products marketplace three years ago, but Dave has another 10 years on this, giving him huge value to us in terms of expertise and understanding. He has worked for three other PCB firms during his career and has the experience we need to take the firm forward in a number of areas.

Based in Yorkshire, Dave is in a central location to visit our UK clients and can easily access our oversees clients from Manchester Airport. We’re well known in the industry for excelling in service and being competitive on price and what Dave adds is the expert authority.

He’s worked on export and will lead Spirit Circuits to trade in Europe, increasing our current 80:20 UK-export markets ratio by using his contacts and relationships on the continent.

Spirit Circuits has also developed thermal testing and analysis; our scientific equipment to verify materials gives us a technical edge and a better understanding of metals. Thermal Interface Material for our PCBs have recently been made available to our customers and not only has Dave been integral in the sales of these, but in training all staff on the technical details. Dave is also moving us more into LED markets, power supply and automotive applications.

Outside of work, Dave has two passions – restoring his 17th century home and photographing sharks, diving with them across the globe…without a cage!
